What counts as an active seat?
An active seat is someone with the Etch desktop app open and connected. When they close the app, the seat frees up. You can have unlimited members in your organization — seats only count who's using the app simultaneously.
Can I try Etch before paying?
Yes. Example Mode lets you explore the full UI with demo data — no account or payment needed. When you're ready to use Etch on a real show, sign up and pick a plan.
What happens if all seats are in use?
If someone tries to open the app when all seats are taken, they'll see a message to wait or ask a team member to close the app. You can always upgrade your plan for more seats.
What counts toward storage?
Image and video attachments on notes use storage. Text notes, setlists, and session data are tiny and don't count toward your limit. Images are automatically compressed on upload to save space.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime from your dashboard. Changes take effect immediately, and billing is prorated.
Who manages the billing?
The organization owner handles billing. One subscription covers the whole team — no per-user accounts to manage.
